THE DIOCESE

Most Holy Trinity Cathedral

The Diocese of Daet is a prominent ecclesiastical territory of the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines, covering the entire province of Camarines Norte in the Bicol Region. Established on May 27, 1974, by Pope Paul VI, the diocese was carved out of the Archdiocese of Caceres, under which it remains a suffragan. It is headquartered at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity in Daet, serving as the spiritual home for a deeply devout population of over 600,000 Catholics.

VICARIATES

The Diocese of Daet, covering the entire province of Camarines Norte, serves as a vital spiritual cornerstone within the Ecclesiastical Province of Caceres. Geographically and pastorally organized into seven distinct vicariates—St. Raphael, St. John the Baptist, St. Peter, St. John the Apostle, Our Lady of Candelaria, St. Lucy, and St. Helena—the diocese ensures a cohesive administrative reach from the coastal towns to the highland communities. Its liturgical heart beats within a network of 31 active faith centers, comprising the majestic Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, two revered diocesan shrines, 25 established parishes, and three emerging quasi-parishes. This structure not only preserves the deep-seated Bicolano traditions of devotion, such as the famous pilgrimage to the Black Nazarene of Capalonga, but also facilitates the dynamic missionary growth required to meet the pastoral needs of its diverse and expanding Catholic population.
